Occupation: band, being awesome

stolen babies

I’ve been known to find off the wall bands that are not exactly normal…Stolen Babies is one of those bands!!

I first heard of Stolen Babies in 2007 when they were included in The Hottest Chicks In Metal Tour (feat. Lacuna Coil, The Gathering, In This Moment and Stolen Babies). When I find out about a concert, I love to look up any of the bands that I have not heard before and when I looked up Stolen Babies, I got my “O” face going on. I instantly youtubed them and the first video that popped up was the music video for “Push Button”. The only thought that popped into my head was “Where have you been all my life?” By the time the show came to my town, I had listened to their albums There Be Squabbles Ahead (released late 2006) and was able to sing my face off and of course, yell out what songs I want them to play next. There are several reasons I admire Stolen Babies, first there live shows sound amazing. You like their cd; you’ll love their live show. Second, they put on a great show, bringing a theatrical feel to with large drums, accordions, and top hats. Now, how about I give you your weekly history lesson on one of my personal favorite rock acts?

This is my favorite subject…..Underground Music…..if only they taught this in school. I feel that my purpose in life is to promote and support music whether it’s unsigned bands, independently signed bands and even major label bands. I don’t stop with just bands and labels; I also try to support Facebook promoting pages, clothing companies, radio stations, ect.

This week, I’m going to mix it up a little bit. This article will be focused on Karl Dahmer, a mad genius that is striving to help out the underground music scene by creating wickedly delightful artwork!!

I came across Karl while looking for a really awesome artist to put together an album cover for one of my first compilations and someone suggested I check out Dahmer Art. I went to his Facebook page and was completely blown away!!! His vision is demented, twisted, and definitely has a sense of humor in it as well. Here are some of the album covers this demented mind has done for me:
